For guests lucky enough to be visiting Walt Disney World in December you have the opportunity to view 'Holidays Around the World & Candlelight Processional' which this year has been held in Epcot from November 28th  - December 30th, 2014.

Cans for Canstruction Charity Event Orlando, Florida. October 2014.

I just heard about a great charity event that recently took place at Orlando Fashion Square called Canstruction Orlando, it is a competition for local groups, community, schools and corporations, to design a sculpture from donated food cans, the structures are built, exhibited to the public and later dismantled. The full cans are given to  Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Who distribute to the hungry.

The Chance of a Lifetime from Dreamflight Charity.

If you are in the theme parks of Orlando this week, you may come across a group of children on the holiday of a lifetime from the UK, called Dreamflight, this charity gives seriously ill or disabled children a gift of a holiday filled with fun and happiness. The UK charity works through the year fundraising for the yearly trip.

A team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and volunteers accompany the children, (without their parents) and care for the children 24 hours a day.

When the plane arrives in Florida, more help is on hand from Dreamflights American team.

What caught my eye, was on their Facebook page Dreamflight have posted pictures of a special police escort, for the convoy of coaches from orlando International Airport to the Hotel!

What a wonderful beginning to the many fantastic experiences that these deserving children are going to have in the next few days.

Disney's Mountain in Animal Kingdom Park, Expedition Everest. WDW, Florida.

You Go to Animal Kingdom and 'Yes' you can have an Expedition on Everest! Well, on Disney's roller-coaster train ride on the amazing construction of a replica of a Himalayan mountain.

Before the ride you are taken through a waiting area, telling the story of an expedition with themed atrifacts of a journey to a fictional Nepalese village of Serka Zong. Where the atmosphere is created to make guests imagine they are explorers, looking for signs of the mythical 'Yeti'.

The roller coaster is thrilling and fun, with height and drop elements adding to the excitement. When it's over you feel you want to go straight back on, and do it again!

The Shuttle Atlantis, One Year On at its Home at Kennedy Space Center.

The Kennedy Space Center is about an hours drive from the Theme Parks in Orlando and well worth a trip when on vacation in the Orlando area, 

A year ago the space Shuttle Atlantis was housed in an exhibition at the Center and in that year has attracted many visitors from all over the world. It's high tech, interactive, showcase, with simulators and presentations, all celebrate NASA'S achievements of its 30yr Space Shuttle programme and is a tribute to all the people involved in maintaining and flying the shuttles.

The Visitor Complex also has bus tours out to the shuttle launch pad for a drive by view.

July 4th 2014 Events For Visitors and Locals in Orlando Florida.

Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World is going to have some enticing aromas filling the air on Saturday June 21st 2014, because 14 food trucks will be selling their wares, taking part in an event called  'Trucks on the Town'.

There are two Fun Spot amusement parks in the Orlando area. 'Fun Spot America', near to the Universal Resort Orlando, which offers go kart rides, roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, bumper boats an arcade and more. 

And one in Kissimmee called 'Fun Spot USA' near to the Walt Disney World Resort, again with go kart tracks and thrill rides. To be found next to Old Town Kissimmee, a great attraction in itself.

Their are great reviews on TripAdvisor and it is pointed out that older children and adults will have great fun at this venue.

Being a Starbucks fan I'm pleased to share the news that a new Starbucks Cafe has opened in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Florida.

The design of the Cafe has sustainability in mind, LED lighting, furniture made from salvaged trees reclaimed oak and maple, and a roof of green plants.

A very accommodating, pleasant sitting area, with custom artwork decorating the walls and interactive video screen connecting the store with customers at the Disneyland Anaheim Starbucks
