At Gaylord Palms Resort twenty minutes from Orlando International airport and five minutes from Walt Disney World you can witness a spectacular Christmas Wonderland, visit the holiday scenes carved from ice, ice sculptures made by artisans from china, ice slides 30feet tall, Christmas trees with amazing lighting and a story theme from the classic ‘Twas the night before Christmas’

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated this year November 25th 2010.

This historic event began as a religious celebration to give thanks to God by the original Pilgrims in the year 1621. After the United States had gained independence it then became an annual event.

The first feast included turkey, venison, fowl, fish, lobster, corn, pumpkin, squash, fruit, berries, and pumpkin.

The celebration also remembers the native Indians that helped teach the pilgrims how to cook and survive.

Nowadays Thanksgiving is a time spent with family and friends, feasting on a different variety of rich food, a time of feasting and enjoyment and ‘thankfulness’
